##Task: Understanding the CIEP Utopian Schools

In our map, it became apparent that the main aspects of the CIEP Case are architecture, politics, pedagogy, programming as well as activities. All these main points are directly connected to the community. Therefore, at the center of the CIEP case is the community.
We displayed the connections through arrows which indicate in which direction the influences flow. The pointed lines indicate that there is a connection in some way, but it is less apparent and strong than the other connections. Additionally, we took out the main components of the connections and displayed them between the connections.
Pedagogy- Architecture:
The construction of the school such as the half-walls is made to influence the way of teaching and the behavior of the children.
Pedagogy-Community:
Providing health care and hygiene, as well as building students’ self-esteem is done to provide support to the community.
Pedagogy-Programming:
Learning is at the center of how the curriculum and the program of the school are structured.
Architecture-Community:
The schools are constructed of a system of inexpensive, flexible, and efficient parts. This means the schools are highly modular and can be adapted to fit into different-sized communities.
Politics-Architecture:
The architecture of the schools allowed them to be built efficiently. In this way, the architecture was able to fulfill the demand for more schools quickly.
Architecture-Activities:
Modularity enables the different activities taking place at the CIEP schools. The possible activities were planned into the design of the buildings.
Politics-Community:
The goal of Brizola's government was to support children from lower social classes. One of the program's goals was the greater inclusion of these children in education. The inclusion strengthened the community.
Activities - Programming - Community:
The school offers a variety of activities, that includes the celebration of the cultural heritage & traditions of the community which creates a connection to the programming. This also generates a safe space for the community.
